Lectotype selected by Springer & Fraser 1976:21 [ref. 7086]. •Valid as Alabes parvulus (McCulloch 1909) -- (Kuiter 1993:53 [ref. 23929], Francis 1993:158 [ref. 25479], Gomon et al. 1994:314 [ref. 22532], Hutchins 2001:22 [ref. 25847], Hutchins & Morrison 2004:148 [ref. 27776] as parvula, Hutchins 2006:26 [ref. 28926] as parvula, Hoese & Bray 2006:1571 [ref. 29000], Hutchins 2008:731 [ref. 30658]). Current status: Valid as Alabes parvula (McCulloch 1909). Gobiesocidae: Cheilobranchinae. Distribution: Australia: Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. Habitat: marine.
