Plus non-type specimens tentatively assigned and as additional material. •Valid as Alionematichthys crassiceps Møller & Schwarzhans 2008 -- (Allen & Erdmann 2012:130 [ref. 31980], Schwarzhans & Møller 2011:163 [ref. 31834], Møller et al. 2016:Appendix B [ref. 34432] in Dinematichthyidae). Current status: Valid as Alionematichthys crassiceps Møller & Schwarzhans 2008. Dinematichthyidae. Distribution: Oceanic islands of West Pacific and Western Australia; tentative records from Taiwan. Habitat: marine.
