Paratypes: NRM 49446 (4). •Valid as Apistogramma eremnopyge Ready & Kullander 2004 -- (Römer et al. 2004:18 [ref. 34102], Römer 2006:452 [ref. 28970], Staeck 2017:67 [ref. 35639], Meza-Vargas et al. 2021:27 [ref. 39298]). Current status: Valid as Apistogramma eremnopyge Ready & Kullander 2004. Cichlidae: Cichlinae. Distribution: South America: Pintuyacu River (Loreto, Peru). Habitat: freshwater.
