Paratypes: CAS, MTD. •Valid as Apistogramma huascar Römer, Pretor & Hahn 2006 -- (Römer et al. 2011:16 [ref. 31288], Römer et al. 2012:191 [ref. 32047], Staeck 2017:96 [ref. 35639], Meza-Vargas et al. 2021:27 [ref. 39298]). Current status: Valid as Apistogramma huascar Römer, Pretor & Hahn 2006. Cichlidae: Cichlinae. Distribution: South America: Río Nanaý drainage (Peru). Habitat: freshwater.
