Freser, pers. comm. 11/2009). •Synonym of Apogonichthys perdix Bleeker 1854 -- (T. Fraser, pers. comm. 2008). Current status: Synonym of Apogonichthys perdix Bleeker 1854. Apogonidae: Apogoninae. Habitat: marine.

Holotype (unique): MNHN 1952-0298. Type catalog: Bauchot & Desoutter 1987:60 [ref. 12478]. •Synonym of Apogonichthys perdix Bleeker 1854 -- (Dor 1984:116 [ref. 29757], Gon & Randall 2003:27 [ref. 26750]). •Valid as Apogonichthys infuscus (Fourmanoir 1955) -- (Kuiter & Kozawa 2019:7 [ref. 36965]). Current status: Valid as Apogonichthys infuscus (Fourmanoir 1955). Apogonidae: Apogoninae. Distribution: Red Sea endemic. Habitat: marine.
