Based Aseraggodes cyaneus of Weber 1913:435 (not Solea cyanea Alcock). Lectotype selected by Randall & Desoutter-Meniger 2007:308 [ref. 29399]; the smaller specimen not this species. •Valid as Aseraggodes beauforti Chabanaud 1930 -- (Randall & Desoutter-Meniger 2007:308 [ref. 29399], Randall et al. 2013:5 [ref. 32941]). Current status: Valid as Aseraggodes beauforti Chabanaud 1930. Soleidae. Distribution: Timor Sea. Habitat: marine.

Type catalog: Menon & Yazdani 1968:159 [ref. 20743], Menon and Rama-Rao 1970:377 [ref. 27516], Menon & Rama-Rao 1975:45 [ref. 22148]. •Valid as Aseraggodes cyaneus (Alcock 1890) -- (Winterbottom et al. 1989:67 [ref. 13251], Quéro & Desoutter 1990:106 [ref. 15757], Munroe in Randall & Lim 2000:645 [ref. 25122], Munroe 2001:3881 [ref. 26314], Manilo & Bogorodsky 2003:S122 [ref. 27377], Randall et al. 2013:5 [ref. 32941], Fricke et al. 2018:372 [ref. 35805], Psomadakis et al. 2020:595 [ref. 37272], Desoutter-Meniger & Chapleau 2022:388 [ref. 40245]).
