Habitat: marine.

Syntypes: BSMP 10585 (1) and 26919 (1) destroyed, but all 3 types by Koumans. Type catalog: Koumans 1940:183 [ref. 2676]. Lectotpe designated by Koumans (1940:183). Kottelat (2013) treats as brackish and marine. •Synonym of Bathygobius cotticeps (Steindachner 1879) -- (Kottelat 2013:401 [ref. 32989], Parenti 2021:100 [ref. 38603]).
