Paratypes: Many lots at CAS, LACM, SAIAB, USNM, and UW. •Valid as Bothrocara nyx Stevenson & Anderson 2005 -- (Anderson et al. 2009:184 [ref. 30175], Love et al. 2021:180 [ref. 39279]). •Valid as Bentartia nyx (Stevenson & Anderson 2001) -- (Balushkin et al. 2011:1026 [ref. 32449]). Current status: Valid as Bentartia nyx (Stevenson & Anderson 2005). Zoarcidae: Lycodinae. Distribution: North Pacific: eastern Bering Sea. Habitat: marine.
