Correct spelling for genus is Aluterus. •Synonym of Brachaluteres jacksonianus (Quoy & Gaimard 1824) -- (Hutchins1977:54 [ref. 2283], Gomon et al. 1994:872 [ref. 22532], Allen et al. 2006:1883 [ref. 29098]). Current status: Synonym of Brachaluteres jacksonianus (Quoy & Gaimard 1824). Monacanthidae. Habitat: marine.
