Syntypes: MCZ 28603 (orig. 12, now 6); USNM 57879 (2, lost), 120248 [ex MCZ 28603] (6). •Questionably a synonym of Bregmaceros mcclellandi Thompson 1840 -- (D'Ancona & Cavinato 1965:66 [ref. 9208]). •Mention -- (Cohen in Cohen et al. 1990:16 [ref. 18936]). •Synonym of Bregmaceros bathymaster Jordan & Bollman 1890 -- (Torii et al. 2003:24 [ref. 27810]). Current status: Synonym of Bregmaceros bathymaster Jordan & Bollman 1890. Bregmacerotidae. Habitat: marine.
