Type catalog: Aizawa et al. 2022:232 [ref. 39655]. Species originally published in Japanese in above reference, later illustrated and described in more detail in English and Japanese in Tanaka 1916:420, Pl. 115 (figs. 339-340) [ref. 14939]. •Synonym of Hemigrammocypris rasborella Fowler 1910 -- (Jordan & Hubbs 1925:161 [ref. 2486]). •Synonym of Hemigrammocypris neglecta (Stieler 1907). •Possibly valid as Hemigrammocypris kawabatae (Tanaka 1916) -- (K. Hosoya pers. comm. 10/2021). Current status: Synonym of Hemigrammocypris neglecta (Stieler 1907). Gobionidae. Habitat: freshwater.
