Current status: Synonym of Brycon alburnus (Günther 1860). Bryconidae: Bryconinae. Habitat: freshwater.

Syntypes: BMNH 1860.6.16.167 (1), 1860.6.16.180 (1), 1860.6.16.201-202 (2), 1860.6.16.204 (1). •Valid as Brycon alburnus (Günther 1860) -- (Ovchynnyk 1967:27 [ref. 37559], Howes 1982:6 [ref. 14201], Ortega & Vari 1986:7 [ref. 9708], Lima in Reis et al. 2003:174 [ref. 27061], Barriga Salazar 2014:108 [ref. 35745], Jiménez-Prado et al. 2015:162 [ref. 34894], Valenzuela et al. 2023:94 [ref. 40815]). Current status: Valid as Brycon alburnus (Günther 1860). Bryconidae: Bryconinae. Distribution: South America: Pacific slope (Ecuador). Habitat: freshwater.
