Type catalog: Koumans 1940:182 [ref. 2676]. •Synonym of Bunaka gyrinoides (Bleeker 1853) -- (Hoese 2006:1598 [ref. 28998], Huang & Chen 2008:184 [ref. 30067], Kottelat 2013:389 [ref. 32989], Parenti 2021:31 [ref. 38603]). Current status: Synonym of Bunaka gyrinoides (Bleeker 1853). Eleotridae: Eleotrinae. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
