Paratypes: CAS 66485 (1), 66494 (3), 218975 (2); IORAS 179 (4), 529 (1). 1741 (1), 174279 (1, lost?); LACM 44770-1 (1); MNHN 1989-1139 and 1140 (1, 1), 1996-228 (1), 2000-1476 (2); USNM 307860 (7); ZMMGU P-15650 (3, whereabouts unknown); ZIN 48772 (11, = Coelorinchus inventionis). Correct spelling of the genus is Coelorinchus. •Valid as Coelorinchus vityazae Iwamoto, Shcherbachev & Marquardt 2004 -- (Iwamoto & Graham 2008:142 [ref. 29641], Prokofiev et al. 2022:141 [ref. 39798]). Current status: Valid as Coelorinchus vityazae Iwamoto, Shcherbachev & Marquardt 2004. Macrouridae. Distribution: Southwestern Indian Ocean: Madagascar and Southwest Indian submarine ridges, St. Paul and Amsterdam Islands. Habitat: marine.
