vomerinus, Caranx Playfair [R. L.] in Playfair & Günther 1867:59, Pl. 10 (fig. 1) [The fishes of Zanzibar; ref. 3490] Seychelles. Syntypes (?) [or one is the holotype]: BMNH 1866.1.19.2-3 (2), 1867.3.9.209 (1, stuffed). The description apparently was made from one specimen. •Synonym of Carangoides plagiotaenia Bleeker 1857 -- (Smith-Vaniz 1986:646 [ref. 5718], Smith-Vaniz 1999:2707 [ref. 24833], Smith-Vaniz 2022:43 [ref. 39876]). •Synonym of Craterognathus plagiotaenia (Bleeker 1857). Current status: Synonym of Craterognathus plagiotaenia (Bleeker 1857). Carangidae: Caranginae. Habitat: marine.
