Misspelled nasogallicus by Griffith & Smith 1834:173 [ref. 1908]. Bauchot 1963:125 [ref. 20718] lists syntypes (MNHN 9670), but they apply to the 1831 description. Neotype designation by Fricke 1999:339 [ref. 24106] is invalid.
