See Malabarba 1998:231 [ref. 23844]. •Valid as Mixobrycon ribeiroi (Eigenmann 1907) -- (Malabarba in Reis et al. 2003:145 [ref. 27061], Reis et al. 2016:13 [ref. 34496], Koerber et al. 2017:42 [ref. 35267]). Current status: Valid as Mixobrycon ribeiroi (Eigenmann 1907). Characidae: Characids incertae sedis. Distribution: Paraguay River basin, Paraguay. Habitat: freshwater.
