Kottelat (2013) treats as brackish and marine. •Synonym of Bathygobius cotticeps (Steindachner 1879) -- (Kottelat 2013:401 [ref. 32989], Parenti 2021:100 [ref. 38603]). Current status: Synonym of Bathygobius cotticeps (Steindachner 1879). Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Habitat: marine.
