The specific name is apparently an indeclinable noun, so the correct name is Cociella crocodilus. Type catalog: Blanc & Hureau 1968:60 [ref. 20738], Paepke & Fricke 1992:278 [ref. 19946] with ZMB 726 (dried) as holotype; description indicates that the holotype was tranferred from the Berlin Museum to the "Cabinet du Roi" but there is no type at MNHN.
