Paratypes: BMNH 1907.7.4.1 (1). Correct spelling of the genus is Coelorinchus. •Valid as Caelorinchus innotabilis McCulloch 1907 -- (McMillan & Paulin 1993:838 [ref. 21005], Gomon et al. 1994:352 [ref. 22532], Iwamoto & Williams 1999:140 [ref. 23875], Iwamoto & Graham 2001:443 [ref. 25637], Hutchins 2001:23 [ref. 25847], Bray et al. 2006:586 [ref. 29065]). •Valid as Coelorinchus innotabilis McCulloch 1907 [some as Coelorhynchus] -- (Paxton et al. 1989:325 [ref. 12442], Pequeño 1989:45 [ref. 14125], Paulin et al. 1989:128 [ref. 24556], Arai in Amaoka et al. 1990:175 [ref. 16024], Iwamoto in Cohen et al. 1990:161 [ref. 18936], Iwamoto & McMillan 2008:328 [ref. 30636], McMillan & Iwamoto 2015:777 [ref. 34263]). Current status: Valid as Coelorinchus innotabilis McCulloch 1907. Macrouridae. Distribution: Australia and New Zealand region. Habitat: marine.

karrerae, Coelorinchus Trunov [I. A.] 1984:359, Figs. 3-4 [Voprosy Ikhtiologii v. 24 (no. 3); ref. 16285] Southeastern Atlantic off Namibia, 25°35'S, 13°29'W, depth 825 meters. Holotype: ZIN 42520a. Paratypes: ZIN 42450a (8, now 7); ZMMU P-16014-15 (1, 1), P16018-19 (4, 2). Type catalog: Vasil'eva et al. 2001:54 [ref. 25714], Balushkin & Prirodina 2008:151 [ref. 33662]. Possibly the same as C. innotabilis -- see Iwamoto et al. 2004:196 [ref. 27643]. •Valid as Caelorinchus karrerae Trunov 1984 -- (Iwamoto et al. 2004:196 [ref. 27643]). •Valid as Coelorinchus karrerae Trunov 1984 -- (Iwamoto in Cohen et al. 1990:166 [ref. 18936], Pakhorukov 2001:378 [ref. 25409]). Current status: Valid as Coelorinchus karrerae Trunov 1984. Macrouridae. Distribution: Cosmopolitan. Habitat: marine.
