Holotype: UMMZ 151904 [ex MNHN Buenos Aires 357]. Paratypes: UMMZ 95503 (1). Correct spelling of the genus is Coelorinchus. •Valid as Caelorinchus marinii Hubbs 1934 -- (Menezes & Figueiredo in Menezes et al. 2003:60 [ref. 27192], Nión et al. 2016:39 [ref. 35565]). •Valid as Coelorinchus marinii Hubbs 1934 -- (Iwamoto 1990:193 [ref. 21688], Iwamoto in Cohen et al. 1990:172 [ref. 18936], Melo et al. 2010:32 [ref. 30775], Mabragaña et al. 2011:table S2 [ref. 31800]). Current status: Valid as Coelorinchus marinii Hubbs 1934. Macrouridae. Distribution: Southwestern Atlantic to Antarctic. Habitat: marine.
