Figured in Alcock 1892: Pl. 3 (fig. 1) [ref. 20531]. •Valid as Caelorinchus quadricristatus (Alcock 1891) -- (Iwamoto & Anderson 1999:1081 [ref. 24193]). •Valid as Coelorinchus quadricristatus (Alcock 1891) -- (Okamura in Okamura et al. 1982:179 [ref. 8256], Iwamoto in Cohen et al. 1990:138 [ref. 18936], Adam et al. 1998:10 [ref. 23610], McMillan & Iwamoto 2009:45 [ref. 30414], Prokofiev & Iwamoto 2023:148 [ref. 40262]). Current status: Valid as Coelorinchus quadricristatus (Alcock 1891). Macrouridae. Distribution: Indian Ocean: Andaman Islands. Habitat: marine.
