The paratypes are also paratypes of Conger jordani Kanazawa 1958. •Status uncertain, in Conger (Smith 1989:515 [ref. 13285]). •Valid as Conger erebennus (Jordan & Snyder 1901) -- (Asano in Masuda et al. 1984:28 [ref. 6441], Nakabo 2000:229 [ref. 25086], Nakabo 2002:229 [ref. 26001], Smith et al. 2016:737 [ref. 34834], Koeda et al. 2021:5 [ref. 38857]). Current status: Valid as Conger erebennus (Jordan & Snyder 1901). Congridae: Congrinae. Distribution: Northwestern Pacific. Habitat: marine.
