Current status: Valid as Coregonus kiyi (Koelz 1921). Salmonidae: Coregoninae. Distribution: Northeastern North America: originally Great Lakes (except Lake Erie) (Canada, U.S.A.). Habitat: freshwater.

Paratypes: ANSP ?102348 (1). 102916 (1), 192917 (1); UMMZ (many). Type catalog: Böhlke 1984:149 [ref. 13621]. •Synonym of Coregonus kiyi (Koelz 1921) -- (Lee et al. 1980:83 [ref. 22416], Smith 1986:216 [ref. 22186]). •Synonym of Coregonus kiyi, but a valid subspecies -- (Scharpf 2006:24 [ref. 30386]). Current status: Synonym of Coregonus kiyi (Koelz 1921). Salmonidae: Coregoninae. Distribution: Lake Ontario [this subspecies] [now extinct]. Habitat: freshwater.
