Holotype: ZIN 44885. Type catalog: Balushkin & Prirodina 2008:151 [ref. 33662]. Apparently appeared first in Rass 1954 as name only. •Questionably a synonym of Coryphaenoides cinereus (Gilbert 1896) -- (Sheiko & Fedorov 2000:23 [ref. 25650]). •Synonym of Coryphaenoides acrolepis (Bean 1884) -- (Parin et al. 2014:165 [ref. 33547], Nakayama 2020:142 [ref. 37888]). Current status: Synonym of Coryphaenoides acrolepis (Bean 1884). Macrouridae. Habitat: marine.
