Apparently appeared first in Rass 1954 as name only. •Questionably a synonym of Coryphaenoides cinereus (Gilbert 1896) -- (Sheiko & Fedorov 2000:23 [ref. 25650]). •Synonym of Coryphaenoides acrolepis (Bean 1884) -- (Parin et al. 2014:165 [ref. 33547], Nakayama 2020:142 [ref. 37888]). Current status: Synonym of Coryphaenoides acrolepis (Bean 1884). Macrouridae. Habitat: marine.

Syntypes: (numerous) CAS-SU 3084 (3), MNHN 1896-0411 (1), USNM 48577 (1). Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:58 [ref. 12291], Bailly et al. 1999:229 [ref. 24244]. Paratypes: BSKU 14209 (1). •Valid as Coryphaenoides filamentosus Okamura 1970 -- (Okamura in Masuda et al. 1984:96 [ref. 6441], Sawada in Amaoka et al. 1983:107, 192, 324 [ref. 8379], Iwamoto in Cohen et al. 1990:201 [ref. 18936], Nakabo 2000:428 [ref. 25086], Nakabo 2002:428 [ref. 26001]). •Synonym of Coryphaenoides cinereus (Gilbert 1896) -- (Nakayama 2020:157 [ref. 37888]). Current status: Synonym of Coryphaenoides cinereus (Gilbert 1896). Macrouridae. Habitat: marine.
