Holotype (unique): USNM 48768. Original genus should have been Macrourus. •Synonym of Coryphaenoides filifer (Gilbert 1896) -- (Iwamoto & Stein 1974:17 [ref. 7509], Mecklenburg et al. 2002:279 [ref. 25968], Nakayama 2020:164 [ref. 37888]). Current status: Synonym of Coryphaenoides filifer (Gilbert 1896). Macrouridae. Habitat: marine.

H.] 1896:458 [United States Commission of Fish and Fisheries, Report of the Commissioner v. 19 (for 1893) (art. 6); ref. 1628] Off Queen Charlotte Island, British Columbia, Canada, Albatross station 3342, depth 1588 fathoms. Syntypes: (3) USNM 48626 (1, disintegrated).
