Paralectotypes: (13) ZMA 111490-94 (1, 1, 1, 8, 1). Type catalog: Nijssen et al. 1982:67 [ref. 19236]. Original genus should have been Macrourus. Lectotype selected by Shcherbachev & Iwamoto 1995:304 [ref. 22071]. •Valid as Coryphaenoides tydemani (Weber 1913) -- (Iwamoto in Cohen et al. 1990:201 [ref. 18936], Shcherbachev & Iwamoto 1995:304 [ref. 22071], Iwamoto 1999:1991 [ref. 24761]). Current status: Valid as Coryphaenoides tydemani (Weber 1913). Macrouridae. Distribution: Western Pacific. Habitat: marine.
