Holotype (unique): NRM 11089. Original genus should have been Iluocoetes. •Valid as Crossostomus fasciatus (Lönnberg 1905) -- (Gosztonyi 1977:207 [ref. 6103], Nakamura in Nakamura et al. 1986:240 [ref. 14235], Pequeño 1989:48 [ref. 14125], Anderson 1994:116 [ref. 21438], Anderson & Fedorov 2004:12 [ref. 27603], Balushkin et al. 2011:1026 [ref. 32449], Chiaramonte et al. 2023:210 [ref. 40423]). Current status: Valid as Crossostomus fasciatus (Lönnberg 1905). Zoarcidae: Lycodinae. Distribution: Southwestern Atlantic. Habitat: marine.
