Current status: Valid as Curimatella alburnus (Müller & Troschel 1844). Curimatidae. Distribution: South America: Amazon and Tocantins River basins (Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, Guyana and Peru). Habitat: freshwater.
