Paratypes: (11) USNM 48583 (1), 64114-15 (2, 1). •Questionably a synonym of Liparis tunicatus Reinhardt 1836 -- (Sheiko & Fedorov 2000:33 [ref. 25650], Mecklenburg 2011:127 [ref. 31212]). •Valid as Liparis bristolensis (Burke 1912) with question -- (Mecklenburg et al. 2002:590 [ref. 25968], Chernova et al. 2004:21 [ref. 27592]). •Valid as Liparis bristolensis (Burke 1912) -- (Nelson et al. 2004:124 [ref. 27807], Chernova 2008:840 [ref. 30236], Love et al. 2005:104 [ref. 37547], Page et al. 2013:128 [ref. 32708], Love et al. 2021:138 [ref. 39279]). Current status: Valid as Liparis bristolensis (Burke 1912). Liparidae. Distribution: North Pacific: southern Bering Sea and western Gulf of Alaska. Habitat: marine.
