Subjectively invalid; secondarily preoccupied in Chromis by Dascyllus caudofasciatus Montalban 1928; not replaced. •Synonym of Chromis fumea (Tanaka 1917) -- (Allen 1991:239 [ref. 19344], Ho & Shao 2011:48 [ref. 31432], Parenti 2021:52 [ref. 38418], Allen & Allen 2021:81 [ref. 38731]). 2°Homonym. Current status: Synonym of Chromis fumea (Tanaka 1917). Pomacentridae: Chrominae. Habitat: marine.

Syntypes: BSMP (13, apparently destroyed). •Synonym of Chromis lepidolepis Bleeker 1876 -- (Allen 1991:240 [ref. 19344], Parenti 2021:53 [ref. 38418]). •Synonym of Azurina lepidolepis (Bleeker 1876). Current status: Synonym of Azurina lepidolepis (Bleeker 1876). Pomacentridae: Chrominae. Habitat: marine.
