Current status: Valid as Dibranchus spinosus (Garman 1899). Ogcocephalidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Pacific coast of southern Baja California Sur (Mexico) south to Peru, including Gulf of California (Mexico). Habitat: marine.
