Current status: Valid as Emblemaria hudsoni Evermann & Radcliffe 1917. Chaenopsidae. Distribution: Southeastern Pacific. Habitat: marine.

tortugae, Emblemaria Hildebrand [S. F.] 1946:404, Fig. 78 [Bulletin of the United States National Museum No. 189; ref. 2161] Tortuga Bay, Peru. Holotype: USNM 128221. Paratypes: USNM 128222 (1). Non-types: possibly in USNM 119852, 1 specimen (missing paratype of E. hudsoni) questionably included. Type catalog: Springer & Orrell 1996:10 [ref. 22274]. •Synonym of Emblemaria hudsoni Evermann & Radcliffe 1917 -- (Stephens 1963:79 [ref. 4270]). •Valid as Emblemaria tortugae Hildebrand 1946 -- (Chirichigno F. & Vélez D. 1998:252 [ref. 24555]). Current status: Valid as Emblemaria tortugae Hildebrand 1946. Chaenopsidae. Distribution: Southeastern Pacific. Habitat: marine.
