Current status: Valid as Enneapterygius fuligicauda Fowler 1946. Tripterygiidae: Tripterygiinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: eastern Malaya (Malaysia) and Indonesia east to Philippines and Vanuatu, north to Amami Islands (southern Japan), south to northern Australia and New Caledonia. Habitat: marine.
