Paratypes: ZIN 753 (1). •Questionably valid as Etmopterus schmidti Dolganov 1986 -- (Compagno 1999:473 [ref. 25589]). •Synonym of Etmopterus brachyurus Smith & Radcliffe 1912 or Etmopterus molleri (Whitley 1939) -- (Weigmann 2016:58 [ref. 34211]). Current status: Uncertain as Etmopterus brachyurus Smith & Radcliffe 1912. Etmopteridae. Habitat: marine.
