Holotype (unique): USNM 34456 (poor condition). •Synonym of Evorthodus lyricus (Girard 1858) -- (Castro-Aguirre et al. 1999:429 [ref. 24550], Kullander in Reis et al. 2003:661 [ref. 27061]). Current status: Synonym of Evorthodus lyricus (Girard 1858). Gobiidae: Gobionellinae. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
