Type catalog: Bertin & Estève 1950:13 [ref. 19576]. Questionably referred to Esox zonatus by Valenciennes, which is Fundulus zonatus Mitchill, so Valenciennes species is secondarily preoccupied (subjectively invalid) in Fundulus if regarded as a separate description. •Synonym of Fundulus lineolatus (Agassiz 1854) -- (Wildekamp 1996:272 [ref. 23649], Lazara 2001:154 [ref. 25711]). 2°Homonym.
