nakamurae, Furcimanus Tanaka [S.] 1914:303, Pl. 82 (fig. 276) [Figures and descriptions of the fishes of Japan v. 18; ref. 14935] Off Niigata, Japan, Sea of Japan. Holotype (unique): ZUMT (lost). The spelling nakamurae is acceptable; early workers almost certainly Latinized the name first, and then added an 'e' (Art. 31.1.1) [WNE, 12 Mar. 2012] -- we suggest using nakamurae. Plate is in vol. 17 [ref. 14934]. •Synonym of Lycodes diapterus Gilbert 1892, but a valid subspecies nakamurai -- (Lindberg & Krasyukova 1975:149 [ref. 7348], Sheiko 1983:18 [ref. 37041]). •Valid as Furcimanus nakamurae Tanaka 1914 -- (Anderson 1994:119 [ref. 21438]). •Valid as Lycodes nakamurai (Tanaka 1914) -- (Toyoshima in Masuda et al. 1984:308 [ref. 6441], Toyoshima 1985:224 [ref. 5722], Sokolovskaya et al. 1998:12 [ref. 24670], Nakabo 2000:1029 [ref. 25182], Sheiko & Fedorov 2000:37 [ref. 25650], Mecklenburg et al. 2002:724 [ref. 25968], Nakabo 2002:1029 [ref. 26193], Choi et al. 2003:375, 640 [ref. 26218], Anderson & Fedorov 2004:27 [ref. 27603], Shinohara & Shirai 2005:172 [ref. 28232], Kim et al. 2006:276 [ref. 29191], Shinohara et al. 2011:51 [ref. 31715], Balushkin et al. 2011:1002 [ref. 32449], Nazarkin et al. 2014:177 [ref. 33213], Shinohara et al. 2014:265 [ref. 33330], Saveliev et al. 2014:125 [ref. 33340], Parin et al. 2014:416 [ref. 33547], Kim et al. 2020:155 [ref. 39118], Sonoyama et al. 2020:94 [ref. 37637], Dyldin & Orlov 2021:839 [ref. 38925]).
