Current status: Valid as Gadomus melanopterus Gilbert 1905. Bathygadidae. Distribution: Pacific: Hawaiian Islands, and possibly Sala-y-Gomez Ridge (southeastern Pacific). Habitat: marine.

The specific epithet is an indeclinable noun. •Synonym of Gadomus melanopterus Gilbert 1905 -- (Howes & Crimmen 1990:199 [ref. 15692]). •Valid as Bathygadus micronema (Gilbert 1905) -- (Iwamoto in Cohen et al. 1990:94 [ref. 18936] as micronemus). Current status: Valid as Bathygadus micronema (Gilbert 1905). Bathygadidae. Distribution: Pacific. Habitat: marine.
