Current status: Valid as Glossogobius illimis Hoese & Allen 2012. Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Philippines and New Guinea east to Caroline Islands and Micronesia, north to southern Japan, south to Queensland (Australia). Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
