Current status: Valid as Marcusenius angolensis (Boulenger 1905). Mormyridae. Distribution: Southwestern Africa: Cuanza River (Angola). Habitat: freshwater.

Holotype (unique): MRAC 14137. •Synonym of Marcusenius macrolepidotus (Peters 1852) -- (Gosse 1984:85 [ref. 6169], Seegers 1996:73 [ref. 23725], Kramer et al. 2007:678 [ref. 29168]). •Most likely a subspecies of Marcusenius macrolepidotus, subspecies moeruensis (Boulenger 1915) -- (Kramer & Wink 2013:17 [2343] [ref. 32824]). Current status: Synonym of Marcusenius macrolepidotus (Peters 1852). Mormyridae. Habitat: freshwater.
