Based on Cephalus palustris in a manuscript description and drawing by Plumier (Charles Plumier, 1646-1704, French explorer and botanist). •Synonym of Gobiomorus dormitor Lacepède 1800 -- (Lee et al. 1980:784 [ref. 22416], Miller & Wongrat 1990:957 [ref. 19381], Lim et al. 2002:94 [ref. 28310], Kullander in Reis et al. 2003:660 [ref. 27061], Parenti 2021:44 [ref. 38603]).
