Current status: Synonym of Arenigobius bifrenatus (Kner 1865). Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Habitat: brackish, marine.

Current status: Valid as Arenigobius frenatus (Günther 1861). Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Southeastern Indian Ocean, southwestern Pacific: Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria (Australia). Habitat: brackish, marine.
