Current status: Valid as Astatotilapia burtoni (Günther 1894). Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Eastern Africa: Lakes Kivu and Tanganyika and associated rivers. Habitat: freshwater.

nadinae, Tilapia Borodin [N. A.] 1931:54 [Proceedings of the New England Zoölogical Club v. 12; ref. 16260] Albertville [Kalemie], Democratic Republic of Congo, Lake Tanganyika. Syntypes: MCZ 32625 (2). Also described as new in Borodin 1936:29, Pl. 1 (fig. 7) [ref. 13684]. •Synonym of Haplochromis burtoni (Günther 1894) -- (Trewavas 1946:241 [ref. 35931], van Oijen et al. 1991:113 [ref. 20956]). •Synonym of Astatotilapia burtoni (Günther 1894). Current status: Synonym of Astatotilapia burtoni (Günther 1894). Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Habitat: freshwater.
