Syntypes: (several) ?AMS I.10866 (1), CMC (?). Based on Hemerocoetes acanthorhynchus of Waite 1911, p. 245, Pl. 54 (fig. 1) [ref. 14826]. •Synonym of Hemerocoetes macrophthalmus Regan 1914 -- (Nelson 1979:596 [ref. 6951] with a holotype). Current status: Synonym of Hemerocoetes macrophthalmus Regan 1914. Hemerocoetidae. Habitat: marine.
