Also appeared in Bleeker 1858:205, 236 [ref. 365]. Type designated by Bleeker 1862:8 [ref. 393] and 1863:92 [ref. 401] but type designation first in 1857 as above by monotypy. According to Ferraris 2007:41 [ref. 29155], Kailola 2004 serves as first reviser selecting Cephalocassis over Hemipimelodus.
