Current status: Synonym of Hesperoleucus venustus Snyder 1913. Leuciscidae: Laviniinae. Distribution: Tomales Bay / northern SF Bay and Monterey Bay drainages, southern California, U.S.A. [this subspecies]. Habitat: freshwater.
