Paratypes: MUMF 3333/3A (3). •Valid as Homaloptera manipurensis Arunkumar 1999 -- (Arunachalam et al. 2002:31 [ref. 26804], Kurup & Radhakrishnan 2011:225 [ref. 31584]). •Provisionally valid as Homalopteroides manipurensis (Arunkumar 1999) -- (Randall & Page 2012:343 [ref. 32354]). •Questionably a synonym of Homaloptera rupicola (Prashad & Mukerji 1929) -- (Kottelat 2012:50 [ref. 32367], Kottelat 2013:188 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Valid as Homalopteroides manipurensis (Arunkumar 1999). Balitoridae. Distribution: Yu River drainage, Manipur, India. Habitat: freshwater.
