Type by monotypy, only one species mentioned (also by absolute tautonymy). Also appeared as new in Vladykov & Gruchy 1972 [ref. 4527] with designated type species, but this was unneeded because when proposed in 1963, H. perryi was type by indication (monotypy). •Synonym of Hucho Günther 1866, but a valid subgenus Parahucho as described -- (Kendall & Behnke 1984:144 [ref. 13638]). •Valid as Parahucho Vladykov 1963 -- (Dorofeeva & Savvaitova 1998:34 [ref. 23574], Bogutskaya & Naseka 2004:153 [ref. 28183], Parin et al. 2014:135 [ref. 33547], Dyldin & Orlov 2016:680 [ref. 34853]).
